Summer Olympics for me any day.

I guess it’s really a question of what’s your favourite sport? I never liked hockey, ice skating, pretty anything that has to do with ice. I’m not a fan of any winter sports actually.

The summer Olympics have tennis, and martial arts competitions, and of course football, basketball, handball, and other fun ball games. I like those better.

That said, the Football World Cup, to me, is more more entertaining than both Olympics put together. But that’s off topic.

Winter sports are the favourite for me! There’s something about the Winter Games that seems close to home (other than the obvious reason that they will be home in 2008).

I can distinctly remember when the men’s hockey team won gold a few years ago and me and my friends ran around the whole neighbourhood with Canadian flags as capes. All of our neighbours were cheering from the windows, it was a pretty neat experience.

I’m also a big fan of figure skating. The graceful skaters, the music, the costumes, they all make the sport so amazing.

So there’s my vote!

I like the summer games because more countries participate. The winter games more or less require that you have a winter in your country… Also, more people watch the summer games, which makes it more fun.

In terms of attending the games – who wants to stand out in the cold for hours?

Summer is great but I really enjoy watching bobsled racing, and downhill skiing.

To me the summer games are spectacular and I would watch them anyday. The summer games bring anyone and everyone. A lot more sports are played, more athletes, etc. I also believe that where you grew up will have a lot to do with what you like.
